Alaska Trip - June 24- July 5, 2026

Jean and I decided last year we were not getting any younger, we were both retired, and both kids could survive without us for two weeks.  We saw an advertisement in the Wisconsin State Journal for a trip organized by Burkhalter travel in Madison to tour Alaska in mid-2026.  We thought, "Why not." We then signed up, paid our money in March 2026, and waited for June.  June 2026 came quickly enough and we were onto Alaska.

The Alaska tour started in the parking lot of Burkhalter Travel on the west side of Madison on June 24th at 10 a.m.  Jean and I drove up with two large suitcases, backpacks, and CPAPs.  We joined other people in the tour group.

Joanne Mani (left), Vice President of Burkhalter Travel, and Cailin Mani (Right), President of Burkhalter Travel, were the tour guides

After the luggage was loaded, we traveled two hours to O'Hare field in Chicago for our trip to Anchorage, Alaska.
